My name is Jodi Adams. My goal is to graduate in May with my associates in Early childhood.  I have worked as a para for 15 years and absolutely love working in education.I have taken several early childhood classes from you and have enjoyed them all.  I hope to learn the best way to observe children and how to use that data to provide them with the best care in my future classroom. 

It is critical to observe so we can get to know the children or people we are working with. It is important to use our senses to process what we are seeing and to think about it as we are taking it all in. Observing is the best way to access the needs of the children or a specific child. When we process what we are watching and thinking of why it is happening, it can allow us to get to know strengths and weaknesses of the children in our care . When we understand more about why certain things are taking place by observing and noting what you are seeing, the data will aid in a more organized and appropriate plan for providing the most appropriate learning environment. So much information can be gathered by a good observation.
