Week 7 Discussion 2 Original post: Sat 7/21/2018 at 10:49 PM

I am not found of confrontation and conflict however if I feel it is necessary to act upon it and approach it. I think it it will make me more of a strong leader because I am not afraid to fix the problem and let people know that there is an issue. Such as when the classroom that I work in begins to have drama my para is very shy and avoids conflict at all because I speak up for her and tell the lead what is going on and how it should be fixed. It can have cons as well because I struggle with keeping my mouth quite when it needs to be.

Kelsie I agree it can be so very hard to keep your mouth shut at times when you are frustrated with others, especially when they are in the wrong or are standing for something that isn't right. As a teacher or para, or someone in general working with children you have to remember they are watching you. If you react negatively to someone in the room, they feel that. If you can confront a coworker in private it is best for the employee as well as for the students. That is great that you are so strong spirited to stand by your beliefs and to confront a situation that needs fixed! You are right it will make you a good leader as long as you can remember to be level headed and listen before reacting.
